Toddlers
The Toddler stage is a remarkable period of exploration and discovery, where they begin to develop a stronger sense of self and a deeper understanding of the world around them. At Little Gems, we view each child as unique, acknowledging that the early years play a crucial role in shaping their growth and future learning.

Freedom to Explore

Our toddler rooms provide a nurturing space where young children can explore and learn through creative expression. With a calm and inviting atmosphere, we offer a variety of engaging activities and resources designed to inspire your child’s curiosity and foster a love for learning.

Nurturing Educators

Our educators thoughtfully design a nurturing environment that encourages active, play-based learning. With open-ended materials and experiences, toddlers are given the opportunity to explore their world confidently, safely, and independently.

Rest & Relaxation

Toddlers are often given the opportunity to sleep or rest based on their individual needs and cues, as their sleep patterns can vary widely. A quiet and calm environment is provided where toddlers can choose to take a nap or simply rest when they feel the need. Soft lighting, cozy spaces, help toddlers feel secure and comfortable, allowing them the freedom to rest when their bodies signal it. Whether they choose to sleep or just relax, the focus is on creating an atmosphere where they feel safe and can listen to their own needs.
Health & Wellbeing

Your child will also enjoy a variety of delicious and nutritious meals, carefully designed by our Dietitians and prepared fresh daily by our in-house cooks. Toddlers will be given opportunities throughout the week to cook using real utensils, ingredients and allowing them to eat the finished produce.

Families & Community

We believe that family is the child's first and most influential teacher, and we recognize the vital role of building strong partnerships with both families and communities. By maintaining open and ongoing communication, we are able to better understand and support the unique needs of each child in our care. To ensure that every child’s development is fully supported, we create personalized learning and development plans for each child.
Young Brains Are Works In Progress

Neuroscience shows that early experiences impact upon brain development more than genetics.
In other words, nurture trumps nature. Young brain development is dependent on a positive environment – good nutrition, health, and nourishing and stimulating parenting..
